Q: Does my pool need to be serviced during the winter months?

A: Yes. Water chemistry and filtration are just as important in the winter as in the summer to protect your investment. Often the winter season is a busy time of year for our technicians, removing debris caused by storms and falling leaves.

Q: How do I drain my pool when rain over fills it?

A: Most pools have a hose bib plumbed into their filtration system. Attach a garden hose to the hose bib, turn on your filter pump, and open the bib. This should push water out of the garden hose. You should not drain your pool below its normal water level.

Q: Do you service when it is raining?

A: Yes, however if it is raining hard enough to run the windshield wipers in our vehicles, your technician will perform a chemical only service that week.

Q: Does Cox Pool Service & Repair, Inc. have insurance?

A: Yes, Cox Pool Service & Repair, Inc. is a licensed contractor in CA and carries all necessary insurance to protect our customers.

Q: Can you tell me what time my technician will be at my house every week?

A: Unfortunately, no. We pride ourselves on servicing your pool on the same day every week, however there are a lot of variables that affect our route schedule. Your pool may take longer to service on some visits pushing the stops after your pool later in the day. We will make every effort to be as consistent as possible.

Q: How can I tell if my pool is leaking?

A: Good question. Today most pools have an autofill so even if you are losing water, the autofill maintains proper water level. A good way to determine if your pool is leaking is to perform a bucket test. Click the link below to see how to do this:

Note: Just make sure to turn your autofill off if your pool has one during the bucket test.

Q: When will I receive my bill?

A: We do our best to send out statements before the 10th day of every month. Our statements run from the 2nd day of the previous month to the 1st day of the current month. We typically do not send out individual invoices for weekly service. Weekly service is invoiced the 1st day of the month and is due on the 1st day of the following month.

Q: How can I pay my bill, what payment options do you accept?
